"Decades behind the camera."
John E. Viguié is a visionary filmmaker with decades of experience, bringing creative leadership, industry expertise, and a dynamic approach to every project. As the third generation of the Viguié lineage, he directs, writes, and showruns across film and television, with photography as a lifelong craft.
He is co-creator of the flagship saga Somewhere in the Nowhere, written with his daughter Stephanie, and a steward of the family's cinematic origins, including his grandfather's landmark Romance Tropical (1934), the first sound film of Puerto Rico.
Beyond his collaborations on TheRaccoonteurs projects featured on the Slate, his most recent work has him directing and photographing the videos for the Surreal-Realism ensemble SAMISTEJO.
Narrative & Storytelling
"Somewhere in the Nowhere"
A storytelling universe shaped by identity, memory, and untold histories. Co-created and written with his daughter Stephanie, the multi-generational saga bridges literature and screenwriting, tracing more than a century of cinematic history, much of it his own family's. John directs and showruns the project, carrying into it the instincts of a lineage that has been behind the camera since 1912.
